Lisa Chesterfield - Board Chair

A Certified Advisory Board Chair, Lisa is experienced in leveraging innovation to enhance value, elevate customer experience, improve operational efficiency & create desirable customer value propositions central in changing markets to drive growth. Lisa brings a possibility mindset and energy, providing strategic facilitation to business leaders, facilitating a formal Advisory Board structure to support objectives leveraging Advisory Board best practice.

Lisa is a seasoned strategist, business advisor and management consultant, with passion for solving complex problems and scaling impactful end-to-end experiences that balance desirability with commercial viability and profitability. As a serial entrepreneur, Lisa understands first-hand the challenges organisations face to grow customer value, improve operational efficiency & adopt emerging business models central in changing markets to collectively make a positive impact through purposeful action.   

Previously, Lisa has supported the Not For-Profit Sector by Chairing and serving on several boards and committees, and holds a long-term active involvement with Common Ground Queensland, aimed to end homelessness one person at a time through a unique supportive housing model. In addition to Chairing the Mini Farm Project Board, Lisa is currently the Chair for Ocean Crusaders, taking an ecosystem approach to protecting our Oceans specialising in cleaning up our waterways through commercial and community events, whilst changing behaviour through education.

Paulette Oldfield

Paulette is a transformation and change professional, project manager and community leader. Her work focuses on leading complex change, strategic development and relationship management.
A pragmatic approach with a start it, finish it mindset, underpins Paulette’s challenge-led approach, as does a passion for community and problem solving.
With proven capability in building and nurturing relationships, Paulette has been involved in many projects across private and public sectors, including Government, Finance and Mining. Paulette currently sits on the board of The Mini Farm Project and is accredited in Transformation, Change, Leadership, and Project Management.

Sebastian Silanesu

Sebastian is a strategic marketing expert with a deep passion for driving business success through market research and data analytics. With a keen understanding that data-driven insights are the cornerstone of profitable and impactful marketing execution, Sebastian specialises in helping businesses use research to make informed decisions and unlock growth potential.
 
Sebastian is driven by a deep desire to create meaningful change in both business and community. That’s why joining The Mini Farm Project was a natural, no-brainer decision for him.

To Sebastian, this initiative goes beyond simply addressing food insecurity—it’s about empowering families and restoring control over the nutrient-rich food they eat and feed to others. Food has always been a fundamental force that brings people together, and the ability to share a meal should be a universal guarantee.

The Mini Farm Project is more than just a movement; it’s a catalyst for societal change, and Sebastian is proud to be part of it.

Thad Hollis

Thad has B.A. in History and Foreign Affairs with a concentration in Developmental Economics.  He also has a M.A. in Management and Human Resource Development and several Dispute Resolution certifications.

He has worked in banking, law, international insurance and broking, telecoms, industrial relations, automotive industry, construction and the public sector.

In 1993 he left employment as an accountant in the insurance industry to become a Labour Mediator for the Bermuda Government.
 
He is an accredited mediator (AMDRAS), a Family Disputes Resolution Practioner, a Certified Conflict Coach and Divorce Coach.

Thad has supported the Charity Sector by serving on several boards in the past, in the areas of education, food insecurity and alcohol and drug awareness. Besides serving of the Board of the Mini Farm Project Thad is currently the Deputy Chair of a Food Bank that has the purpose of reducing food insecurity.

Our Founder

Nick Steiner, the Founder and CEO of The Mini Farm Project, is a relentless advocate against food insecurity in Australia. His journey began by transforming his own backyard into a thriving farm. Recognised for his exceptional community contributions, Nick received the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship and became an AMP Tomorrow Maker alumni. His dedication was further acknowledged when he was named Moreton Bay Citizen of the Year. Through The Mini Farm Project, particularly the Loganlea State High School charity farm, Nick bridges communities, businesses, and youth to combat food scarcity, offering fresh sustenance to thousands in need, while fostering community collaboration and dismantling barriers for students and the community.
