Most coffee liqueurs start with coffee flavouring. Dark Acre starts with a bag of coffee beans that already feeds people.
We recently filmed with Lisa from Six Fathoms Distillery at Coffee Commune, the roastery where The Mini Farm Project's coffee is roasted. The roasters were running, the team was bagging beans, and Lisa had a bottle of Dark Acre in one hand and a bag of Mini Farm Coffee in the other. That's the whole story in one shot.

Where it starts: Mini Farm Coffee
Mini Farm Coffee is our own range, personally blended by Phil Di Bella and roasted in Brisbane. Every bag sold creates 10 meals for Australian families experiencing food insecurity.
Dark Acre is made from our Farmhouse Brew blend, our most popular coffee. Six Fathoms takes those beans and follows what Lisa calls a "bean to bottle" approach: real roasted coffee, distilled into a smooth, rich liqueur.
A gold medal spirit
This isn't a novelty charity product. Dark Acre won gold at the London Spirits Awards, judged against spirits from around the world. It stands on its own. The fact that it funds farms is a bonus.
$69 a bottle. $10 to the farms. No fine print.
Dark Acre is $69 for a 500ml bottle, and $10 from every bottle goes straight to The Mini Farm Project. Every bottle creates 10 meals.
That's how we operate. Donors see where the money goes, vote on which farm we build next and can sit in on our live-streamed operations meetings. Dark Acre works the same way: a fixed dollar amount per bottle, stated up front.
What your bottle builds
Our next project is a 10-acre Youth Training Farm at Woodstock in Logan. It will grow fresh food for families in need and train young people and school leavers in Certificate II in Horticulture.
If we sell 100,000 bottles of Dark Acre, that farm is fully funded for three years. Every bottle moves the number.
How to enjoy it
